About 10THERMA

10THERMA is a radiofrequency lifting treatment that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy into the skin to help firm skin that has become loose. The device is applied to the skin surface, and numbing cream is applied before starting. It may suit people who feel their facial skin has loosened overall and their facial contour has softened. Miri Clinic's price list includes 10THERMA 100-shot and 300-shot items.

How does radiofrequency energy work in the skin?

Radiofrequency energy turns into heat as it passes through the skin, and this heat is known to act on collagen in the deeper layers. Heated collagen contracts, and as new collagen forms during recovery, it may help with skin firmness.

Because it works through heat, the inside of the skin may feel momentarily hot during the treatment. The energy level is adjusted to the area and skin thickness, and changes may appear gradually over time rather than all at once, to a degree that varies from person to person.

What are the shots in 100 and 300 shots?

A shot is one pulse of radiofrequency energy delivered to the skin by the device. More shots allow a wider area to be treated evenly or the same area to be passed over several times; the price list has two items, 100 shots and 300 shots.

How many shots go to which area of the face is decided at your consultation based on the extent of sagging and skin thickness. Even with the same number of shots, the amount per area may differ with face size and skin condition, so if it is your first time, it is best to decide the number of shots at your consultation while checking how your skin responds.

What skin is it considered for?

Radiofrequency lifting is generally considered when the skin feels thinner and looser with less firmness, or when the facial contour has blurred overall, rather than for deep sagging. If loosening is advanced, another method may be more suitable, so we check your skin condition first at your consultation.

If you have an electronic device in your body such as a pacemaker, a metal implant in the treatment area, are pregnant, or have inflammation or a wound on the skin, please be sure to tell us at your consultation.

How does a 10THERMA session go?

  • Skin check and shot plan — we check sagging, skin thickness, recent treatments and any implants in your body, and decide how many shots to give each area.
  • Cleansing and numbing — we remove makeup, apply numbing cream to the treatment area and wait for it to take effect.
  • Radiofrequency delivery — we wipe off the cream, apply the device to the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy in portions along the planned areas. If the heat feels too strong during the treatment, tell us right away.
  • Soothing and going home — we check your skin, guide you on soothing care depending on its condition, and you go home. The treatment takes about 30–60 minutes depending on the number of shots, plus time for numbing; the steps and times are a general guide and may vary from person to person.

What is the skin like after the treatment?

Redness and swelling are common after the treatment and usually settle within a day. Many people can carry on with daily life afterwards, but how long redness lasts varies from person to person. The skin may still feel warm right after the treatment, so it is best to avoid anything that heats the face, such as saunas or hot packs, that day.

Rarely, blisters, an uneven-looking skin surface or temporary numbness may occur. If you get blisters or a strong burning sensation, or numbness lasts a long time, please contact the clinic.

How often is it repeated?

Rather than setting a schedule in advance, when to have 10THERMA again is decided by how your firmness held up after the last treatment.

Usually you have it once, watch how your skin changes, and then decide at a consultation about once a year whether to have it again. How long firmness lasts depends on age, skin condition and habits such as sun exposure and sleep.

Skin firmness decreases little by little with age, so along with treatment, everyday habits such as protecting your skin from UV and moisturizing regularly may help with skin care.

How much does 10THERMA cost?

10THERMA 100 shots is ₩250,000 and 10THERMA 300 shots is ₩650,000, plus 10% VAT on cosmetic procedures. Combination prices with Doublo Gold or Ultherapy PRIME are listed under “Recommended Combinations” below; please decide the right number of shots at your consultation after we look at your skin.

FAQ

What is 10THERMA?

10THERMA (also written Tentherma) is a radiofrequency (RF) lifting treatment that delivers RF energy to deeper layers of the skin, aiming to improve firmness and lift. It is performed in shots (for example, 100 or 300 shots), and the number of shots is set for the area and your skin condition.

How long does 10THERMA take, and does it hurt?

Treatment time depends on the number of shots and the area. You may feel warmth during treatment, so depending on your skin we may suggest LDM hydrating and soothing care afterward. We explain each step in detail during your consultation.

How is 10THERMA different from Ultherapy and Doublo Gold?

10THERMA uses radiofrequency, while Ultherapy and Doublo Gold use ultrasound, so the energy reaches different layers and feels different. Miri Clinic also offers combinations of 10THERMA with Doublo Gold and Ultherapy PRIME; we choose the right one for your skin during your consultation.

How should I care for my skin after the treatment?

Applying plenty of moisturizer and using sunscreen may help soothe the skin. It is best to pause harsh products such as exfoliants until redness settles.

My skin is on the thin side — can I have it?

Skin thickness and condition differ from person to person, so whether to have it and the number of shots are decided after checking at your consultation. If you have recently had another lifting or laser treatment, please tell us at your consultation.

What if redness remains the next day?

Redness usually settles within a day but may last a little longer for some people. If blisters appear along with redness or the burning sensation keeps getting worse, please contact the clinic to have it checked.

Do I need LDM hydrating and soothing care as well?

LDM hydrating and soothing care is suggested together depending on your skin condition after the treatment. Please confirm at your consultation whether to have it and the cost.
