Treatment Q&A
How is 10THERMA different from Ultherapy and Doublo Gold?
10THERMA uses radiofrequency, while Ultherapy and Doublo Gold use ultrasound, so the energy reaches different layers and feels different. Miri Clinic also offers combinations of 10THERMA with Doublo Gold and Ultherapy PRIME; we choose the right one for your skin during your consultation.
How long does 10THERMA take, and does it hurt?
Treatment time depends on the number of shots and the area. You may feel warmth during treatment, so depending on your skin we may suggest LDM hydrating and soothing care afterward. We explain each step in detail during your consultation.
What is 10THERMA?
10THERMA (also written Tentherma) is a radiofrequency (RF) lifting treatment that delivers RF energy to deeper layers of the skin, aiming to improve firmness and lift. It is performed in shots (for example, 100 or 300 shots), and the number of shots is set for the area and your skin condition.
How is Sculptra different from filler?
Filler fills the injected area right away, while Sculptra stimulates your own skin to make collagen. We suggest it for people with thin skin and reduced firmness, people whose face has lost volume after weight loss, and anyone who wants a change that does not look artificial.
When does Sculptra start to show results, and how long do they last?
Unlike filler, it does not add volume right away. It works as new collagen forms gradually, so changes appear naturally over time. The ingredient breaks down gradually over 24 months after injection. How long results last, and the amount and number of sessions you need, vary from person to person, so we explain this during your consultation.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable collagen stimulator made of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid). It helps the body produce its own collagen, with the aim of improving facial wrinkles, firmness and lift. The product is approved by the US FDA and is gradually broken down by the body after injection.
Does anything stay in the skin after treatment?
The MINT thread is made of PDO (polydioxanone), an absorbable material that breaks down in the body.
What are the benefits of MINT thread lift?
The MINT thread is approved by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as a thread for holding facial tissue in place. Its 360° 3D cogs anchor firmly within the skin tissue, which supports its lifting effect.
How often should I get botulinum toxin?
It varies from person to person, but we usually recommend every 3 to 6 months for the square jaw and every 3 to 4 months for wrinkles.
When does botulinum toxin start to work, and how long does it last?
Botulinum toxin usually starts to work within 2 to 4 weeks. For muscle areas such as the jaw, calves or trapezius, you can expect results to last about 4 to 6 months.
Once I start botulinum toxin (often called “Botox”), do I have to keep getting it?
Not necessarily. When people get it again after the effect wears off, it is usually because they were happy with the results while it lasted.
