Re2O/CellREDM skin booster

Collagen and elastin are proteins that make up the dermis within the skin; collagen is known to give the skin firm support, and elastin is known to be related to the elasticity that lets stretched skin return to its place. With age or long exposure to UV rays, these components decrease and the skin may look thin and loose.

Re2O/CellREDM is a skin booster containing these ingredients, and rather than changing the facial contour or volume, it aims to help care for the skin's foundation, such as texture and firmness. Its use differs from filler, which adds volume to refine shape.

It can generally be considered when fine lines increase and the skin looks thinner, or when you feel it is less firm than before. If deep wrinkles or noticeable sagging are your concern, another approach may suit you better, so this is decided after your skin condition is examined at your consultation.

Please let us know before your consultation if you have inflammation or a wound where the treatment will be done, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had an allergy after an injection treatment before, or are taking blood-thinning medication. If you have recently had a laser or another injection treatment, telling us the date as well helps us decide the interval.

Even with numbing cream, you may feel a sting or a dull ache during the injection, and how much you feel varies from person to person. Right after the treatment, the injection points may look slightly raised, and injection marks and swelling usually settle within 1⁠–⁠3 days.

Makeup is usually worn from the next day, and how quickly things settle varies from person to person. For what to avoid after the treatment, such as jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), saunas and exercise, please see "Aftercare" below.

Injection marks, swelling and bruising are common and usually settle on their own within a few days. Rarely, a lump may be felt at an injection point. Please have it checked at the clinic if a lump lasts a long time or seems to be getting bigger, or if redness and pain keep getting worse or there is warmth.

How many sessions of Re2O/CellREDM to have is decided by looking at how your skin texture and firmness feel after the first session, together with your remaining schedule.

Skin boosters are commonly given several times at intervals rather than once, and Re2O/CellREDM is generally given 2⁠–⁠3 times at intervals of about 3⁠–⁠4 weeks. The price list also has 1-session, 2-session and 3-session items, and the number of sessions is decided at a consultation based on your skin condition and how your skin responds after the treatment.

Changes are observed over successive sessions after the swelling settles, and how much you notice and how long it lasts depend on age, skin condition and lifestyle. Whether to have it again after the last session is decided after seeing how things go.

Re2O/CellREDM is ₩600,000 for 1 session, ₩1,100,000 for 2 sessions and ₩1,600,000 for 3 sessions, plus 10% VAT on cosmetic procedures.
