About Skin Care

Skin care is a treatment that soothes and looks after the skin using devices and care products, without needles or anesthesia. It may suit people whose skin reddens easily or who are bothered by dryness, or who want to look after their skin condition between procedures such as lasers; the care is chosen to suit your skin condition. Depending on what is included, the care takes about 20–40 minutes. Miri Clinic's price list includes LDM (soothing & recovery), LDM (lifting), Ionzyme and Cryo (cooling) care, 1 session each.

How does LDM care work?

LDM is known as a device-based care that delivers low-intensity ultrasound to the skin. It does not use needles or break the skin, and is done by moving the device gently over the skin.

The price list has two items, LDM (soothing & recovery) and LDM (lifting), with device time listed as 12 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. Please confirm at your consultation how the settings of the two differ and which suits your skin. The item with "lifting" in its name is also a device-based care, and if sagging is your main concern, it is best to look at the right approach at your consultation.

What are Ionzyme and Cryo care?

On the price list, Ionzyme is described as a care that delivers vitamin ingredients into the skin. It can be discussed at a consultation if dull-looking skin texture is your concern, and please confirm which ingredients are used and how before the care.

Cryo care soothes the skin by cooling its surface with cold temperatures. It can be considered when your skin feels flushed, and if you are especially sensitive to cold or your skin tends to redden in the cold, please let us know in advance.

Which care suits my skin?

The right care depends on your skin type, current concerns and recent procedures. Telling us at your consultation whether soothing comes first, as with redness or sensitivity, or whether you want to look after dryness and dullness helps in choosing the care, and whether to have just one care or two or more in a row is also decided then.

If you have a wound or inflammation on your face, are being treated for a skin condition, or have recently had a peel or laser, please tell us along with the date you had it.

In what order is the care done?

  • Skin check — we look at your skin type, redness and dryness, and recent procedure history, and decide which care to have.
  • Cleansing — we remove makeup and impurities and prepare the skin.
  • Device care — the chosen care is done in order; based on the price list, LDM uses the device for 12 minutes for soothing & recovery and 20 minutes for lifting.
  • Finishing and going home — we tidy up your skin, check its condition and you go home. The whole care takes about 20–40 minutes depending on what is included; the steps and times are a general guide and may vary from person to person.

Can I wear makeup right after the care?

Because the care uses no needles, there is often no separate downtime, and makeup can usually be worn the same day. Some brief redness may appear right after the care, and it mostly settles with time.

Skin irritation may rarely occur, so please let the clinic know if redness lasts a long time or bumps appear. After the care, it is best to pause harsh products such as exfoliants for a while, and to avoid things that add heat to the skin, such as saunas or hot packs.

How often should I have it?

Skin care is often continued over several visits rather than done once, generally at intervals of about 1–2 weeks decided according to your skin condition. The changes you notice and how long they last vary from person to person depending on skin condition and lifestyle.

When basic care at home continues alongside, such as moisturizing after washing and sun protection during the day, it is easier to keep an eye on your skin condition. The date of the next care is decided based on how your skin responded after the last one.

How much does skin care cost?

Skin care costs ₩49,000–₩90,000 per session depending on the type of care (plus 10% VAT on cosmetic procedures).

LDM (soothing & recovery) is ₩49,000 per session, LDM (lifting) ₩89,000, Ionzyme ₩90,000 and Cryo care ₩50,000 per session, plus 10% VAT on cosmetic procedures. The combination of care that suits your skin is decided at your consultation.

Your exact diagnosis and treatment plan are decided at your consultation.

FAQ

My skin is on the sensitive side. Can I still have it?

Whether you can have it is decided after looking at your skin condition that day. If your skin reddens easily or often breaks out from skincare products, please be sure to tell us before the care.

What does the care feel like?

The care is done without anesthesia; you will feel the device passing over your skin, and Cryo care feels cold. How much you feel varies from person to person, so if you are uncomfortable, please tell us right away, even during the care.

Can I have it on the same day as a laser treatment?

After 10THERMA, we suggest LDM hydrating and soothing care alongside, depending on your skin condition. Whether it can be combined with other procedures is decided at a consultation based on the type of procedure and your skin condition.

Can I have it when I have acne breakouts?

Inflamed acne may be irritated depending on the type of care, so the care to have is decided after your skin is examined at your consultation. If you are taking or applying acne medication, please tell us that too.
